We know that majority of our kids don’t use EVERYTHING we buy for them and sometimes even new things sit collecting dust! Our goal these days is all about giving back! Reusing, recycling and sharing what we haven’t used to lessen our carbon foot print on the world! We have so much in this world, we can afford to give back a little! Nothing is better than the gift of giving so parents, let’s teach our kids this benefit early! By working together, we can teach our children to be compassionate through simple acts of kindness for other children. In doing so we hope that the children receiving also learn compassion and to be kind. We don't need a lot of money to make a difference, we just need to be aware of others. Coconuts Kids fit foundation is committed to raising that awareness by empowering our kids to help others.
May 20th show us your threads! I Am Fitness/Camp Coconuts Location. 12-3pm. Snacks and drinks provided. See Below.
As last year went: The way it works is really simple. Our campers choose some of their favorite play clothes or dress clothes that no longer fit, then they help wash and fold their gently used clothing, knowing that it is going to be given to another little boy or girl to use for this summer season. The team will match the clothes packages directly to the families who need them and can use them right away. Nothing will be thrown into a clothing bin, and nothing will be sold for scraps. Your child’s outfit will wind up clothing another child of that size and gender this summer.
Every participant will receive a Pin of Power to commemorate their good deed. If you cant make it, feel free to send us clothing before then!
Picture it, two teams head too head, for the ultimate bragging rights!
Camp Coconuts is hosting its first ever fund raising car wash! Each team will try to out wash, out raise and out fun the other team!
They are not just suddsing up for bragging rights, each team will battle it out for the win to help choose a family in need of their choice to receive a HUGE scholarship and send them to camp!
If we can teach kids to be compassionate through acts of kindness for other kids then both will experience the amazing energy of giving. Our hope is that as they grow they will perhaps have a different way of looking at the world. Whether receive or give, pure selfless kindness is an incredible energy that can change their world if we just show kids how to tap into it.

This is a request to the Coconut Family and a challenge directly for our Coconuts to share their gently used clothing with other children who may be less fortunate. Parents Let’s help our kids so they can start making a difference in this world now. If you are at all like me, each year you find that the majority of your children’s clothes no longer fit. In fact, very often there will be clothes from seasons past that have not been worn at all. In our house it's all about recycle reuse and share, so each year I give away bags of clothing to friends or goodwill. Sound familiar? I also receive bags of clothing from my friends. I'm always thrilled for the help and I appreciate that we are all trying to conserve. But the truth is we all do have more than our children will probably ever use. Wouldn’t it be great if we could give these clothes directly to a child that can use them this year? And to a family who really needs them? Thanks to the commitment of the Children’s Home Society of NJ, we can.
